At Rockwell Automation’s recent Automation University for the SADC region, senior Rockwell Automation executives from across the globe described the business risks facing mining and how Rockwell Automation can address these. The overall theme of the event was Integrated Architecture. Touching on all control, power, communications and information disciplines, IA offers smart, safe and sustainable integrated solutions through manufacturing convergence.

More than 250 demonstration cases and computers enabled dele-gates to experience actual hardware and software products in a classroom environment, with hands-on sessions focusing on both traditional applications and new innovations. In addition, interactive demonstration sessions mixed live demonstrations with customer success stories to show how Rockwell Automation’s solutions can help achieve business objectives. There was also a series of presentations and seminars showing how IA leads to modern, efficient, integrated and streamlined manufacturing environments. The exhibition floor, the heart of the Automation University, showcased products, solutions and expertise from Rockwell Automation and its partners.
