Current operated switches for DC loads

Denver Technical Products offer the DS 3 series of current operated switches manufactured by NK Technologies of the USA. Current operated switches combine a Hall Effect sensor, signal conditioner and a limit alarm into a single package. The DS3 series offers three jumper-selectable current ranges (4-100 A) and frequency response from DC to 400 Hz.

Applications include:

* Large DC motors: provides enhanced field loss protection.

* Power supplies: over current indication before equipment failure.

* Machine operation: instant status of motors, lamps and other loads.

* Telecom sites: battery output monitoring.

The compact one-piece design features input isolation and hysteresis 5% of set point allowing closer control than fixed hysteresis switches.
