Siemens reconnects face-to-face with partners in Africa

March 2022 News

After 2 years since last connecting with its partners in person, Siemens South Africa recently convened for a partner conference with its solution partners and value-added resellers in the region.

“I was truly amazed by the personal interest and response from our partners,” recently appointed senior vice president for digital industries, Claudio Ranaudo, enthused. “The event involved a combination of discussions of Siemens’ strategic imperatives driven by the business here in Africa, business unit innovations, and our marketing tools and platforms to better support partners through our partner programme. As we transition to normal business operations, the insights, feedback and level of engagement for me personally was highly valuable. The openness and insights helped my team and I to better understand our partners’ business challenges. The 2-day event provided enough time for us to explore new business opportunities and properly align expectations.”

Recognition for full embracement of Siemens’ partner programme, as well as for exceptional business performance during 2021, was given to partners in select categories. These included:

• Value Added Reseller of the Year – Sietech.

• Solution Partner of the Year – Sietronic & Control.

• Best Value-Added Reseller for Business Growth – Rubicon Electrical Distributors.

• Best Solution Partner for Business Growth – Fluid Control Projects.

• Project of the Year – Moore Process Controls.

These awards recognised the commitment and support of Siemens’ partners over the past 2 years for their outstanding achievements, and laid the foundation for all partners to drive the strategic elements within the partner programme for mutual business benefits.

“I look forward to connecting with all our partners on an ongoing basis to discuss new strategies to create more collaboration opportunities. The event’s success proved that personal commitment to business discussions provides great opportunities for more open communication to build trust as we grow our partnerships. My team and I are excited to take the next steps forward with our partners to drive and shape our digital future together,” ended Ranaudo.
