Vega’s level sensors are used in fresh and swimming pool water tanks. Every yacht has various tanks on board for storing hot water, pool water and drinking water: for drinking water, an especially hygienic measuring system is required. The Vegawel 52 and the Vegabar 82 are hydrostatic level measuring sensors that are used for continuous monitoring of water volumes. Both instruments come with an oil-free, hygienic Certec measuring cell for use in the measurement of drinking water.
Wastewater accumulated on board is stored in grey or black water tanks until it can be disposed of on land. The tanks are equipped with continuous level monitoring as well as point level detection sensors that give accurate measurements in abrasive and adhesive media. The Vegason 61 is a non-contact level sensor for measurement of media with solids in atmospheric and ventilated tanks. The Vegacap 64, with its fully insulated probe, is used to prevent tank overfill.
Engine room and fuel tanks
In the engine room the Vegaflex 81 gives reliable measurement of tank contents, independent of ambient conditions such as pressure or gases. The Vegaswing 51 is a vibrating level switch that is used to monitor leakage pans as well as for overfill protection in the sludge and bilge tanks.
For the yacht’s fuel tanks, Vega has a choice of instruments that can be used as an additional overfill protection system to guarantee maximum safety. These are: the Vegaflex 81 for continuous level measurement, independent of ambient conditions such as pressure or fuel vapour; the Vegawell 82 for level measurement in atmospheric and ventilated tanks; and the Vegaswing 61 as a redundant measuring system as overfill protection on tanks containing water-hazardous media.
