SAIMC: Zambia branch

The Zambia branch held its AGM on 1 April at the Kitwe Tennis Club. The election of the committee was conducted and, in accordance with the SAIMC constitution, seven members were required for a branch with less than 200 members.

The following were duly voted onto the 2017 committee and the office bearers were determined: Enock Shikabeta (chairman), Victor Kameli (vice chairman), Andrew Sikwese (treasurer) and Kiranraj Shetty (secretary).

The branch also co-opted the following members: Mambwe Crysencia Musonda (vice secretary), Melissa Jaffray (vice treasurer) and Tresford Siame (trustee).

The following items are planned for 2017: Site visits, technology evenings, visits to higher institutions of learning, Memorandum of Understanding with the Engineering Institution of Zambia, and the year-end function.
