Driving forward

Early in the year, we reported on the enhanced value proposition as one of our priorities. Together with council and other delegates, our value proposition committee has reshaped the manner in which we will deliver value to our stakeholders. Our new stakeholder differentiation approach is governed by the need to avoid being fooled by the generalities that exist in our industry. Furthermore, segmenting our stakeholders enhances our strategic positioning, increases efficiencies and allows us to sharpen our focus in delivering value to different stakeholder segments. The diagram below gives a glimpse of our clustering concept.

Exciting developments

In seeking to address the needs of today whilst managing the changing tomorrow, we will be introducing a full time CEO position at SAIMC. In summary, the CEO shall preside over the day-to-day operations, direct, lead, manage and execute the responsibilities set by the president and the council. This includes operations, marketing, business development, finance, human resources, etc.

The position of a CEO is full time in nature. The council will approach the market in May 2016 for a suitable candidate. Please be on the lookout (our Website, Facebook and Linkedin pages) for the post advertisement in this regard. We aim to finalise the candidate’s appointment in June with commencement of duty set for 1 July. We look forward to reviewing your résumé!

Yours sincerely,

Oratile Sematle
