Swift-Heat makes two acquisitions

July 2002 News

Swift-Heat has traditionally focused on the manufacture and supply of heating elements and certain ancillary products to the industrial sector since its' inception in 1986. In 2002 its focus has broadened considerably with the acquisition of two separate businesses in the heating control field.

In February 2002 Swift-Heat acquired the business of QIS (Quality Instrument Suppliers) who held the agencies for Vertex and ANC temperature controllers. Swift-Heat now offers a complete range of controllers for any application requirement as well as technical assistance where needed.

In April 2002 Swift acquired the business of STS Instrumentation, which had a reputation for the manufacture of high quality thermocouples and thermowell products. The product range includes RTDs (PT100s), MI thermocouples, type R/S ceramic thermocouples, solid drill thermowells to petrochemical specs as well as a wide range of fabricated thermowells and pockets.

Swift-Heat is now positioning itself to better service the industrial heating market with its broader range of products and services.
