Strong industry support for Machine Tools Africa 2017 has seen 70% of exhibition space already sold and further stands provisionally booked. With six months to go, sales are on track and it is expected that the show will be sold out. Machine Tools Africa, launched in association with the Machine Tools Merchants’ Association of South Africa (MTMA), is set to be the biggest trade exhibition of its kind in Africa highlighting innovative developments across the machine tool and related industries.
Machine Tools Africa will take place at the Expo Centre from 9-12 May. Leading companies such as TH Machine Tools, Victor Fortune, Retecon, Puma Machine Tools, Potgieter Industrial Machinery, Durmazlar, CML Machine Tools, Haas Factory Putlet CNC Machine Tools SA, Magnum Machine Tools, RGC Engineering, Craft Industrial Equipment, PBS Machine Tools, Extreme Machine Technologies, First Cut, Toolquip & Allied, CNC Clear Cut, Mecad Systems, MJH Machine Tools, Efamatic Machine Tools, Flexilube, Siemens, Samsung Machine Tools, F&H Machine Tools and Walker Machine Tools are amongst those companies already booked.
The exhibition will showcase a broad range of machinery, equipment, products and services involved in the machine tools cycle. This will include sheet metal and plate processing machinery, metal tube and pipe processing machinery, metal forming and metal cutting machine tools, machines for welding and for thermal and surface treatments, special purpose machinery for electrical and hydraulic, and mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic driven devices. In addition, foundry and forging technology and equipment as well as bearing, gear generating, mould processing, manufacturing technology and equipment will be on show. Also in the spotlight will be robotics, mechatronics, automation hardware and software, additive manufacturing technologies, assembling, tools, parts and components, cutting tools and accessories, metrology, quality control, and systems for safety and environmental protection.
The SAIMC will also be exhibiting, with representatives on hand to assist those visitors wanting more information about the Society.
Hans-Peter Neth, MTMA chairman, has given MTMA’s full commitment to Machine Tools Africa, so ensuring an industry showcase that is inclusive and reflective of the South African machine tool market.
Visitors to Machine Tools Africa 2017 will include all those involved in machine tools across various sectors including general mechanics, machine tools, mining, manufacturing, automotive, metallurgy, paper/pulp, research and engineering, aeronautics, aerospace, railways, energy, electronic and IT.
