Cost efficient PID temperature control

February 2016 Temperature Measurement

The economical type TC and TCN series temperature controllers from Autonics offer dependable and accurate temperature control solutions at reduced costs. The TC series are single display types and the TCN series are dual display for PV and SV. The controllers are available in various sizes for installation in various settings. Low voltage models are available as well. (24 VAC 50/60 Hz, 24-48 VDC)

The PID temperature controllers with auto-tuning function allow convenient initial temperature control set up by automatically adjusting the setting parameters through analysis and feedback. The PID algorithm used in Autonics temperature controllers has been perfected by its research and development team to provide optimal and stable temperature control for any demanding or sensitive applications.

The TC and TCN series are capable of 100 ms high speed sampling cycles with ±0,5% display accuracy, capable of handling most applications. The controllers have the option to switch between SSR drive voltage output and current output, and users can also choose between standard control, phase control, and cycle control when using SSR drive output. Various functions are standard for the controllers, including alarm break function, sensor break function, loop break alarm, auto-tuning and more.

The TC and TCN series, featuring high luminance LED display with large, easy-to-read digits, provide performance and versatility that can be expected from high-end process controllers. Featuring a variety of customisable options, these controllers promise to bring increased efficiency in temperature control of any demanding or sensitive processes and raise production productivity.
