Severe service control valves are designed for demanding applications where there are high pressure drops, cavitation, high velocities, vibrations, noise and high temperature or sub-zero temperatures.
Mitech’s severe service valves are suited to the most arduous applications in the power, oil, gas, petrochemical and power generation industries. They have been applied in the mining and other industries where erosive slurries are encountered. Control of steam and water in power generation is essential to ensure the efficient operation of the plant and to protect equipment. The severe service valves can be used for steam and water pressure reduction and the control of boilers, turbines and pumping systems. They are available in two-port globe, three-way globe and sweep angle types in sizes DN 15 to DN 400 from 2,5 to 40 cm and on request up to 60 cm. Flow characteristics are linear, bi-linear and tri-linear with a choice of ED, ZZ and MHP trims. With a local CFD design, the valves can be engineered to suit specific applications. They are offered in a wide range of materials and have a clamp-in-place, free float design.
