Bluetooth wireless module for control data communication

The FL BT EPA MP wireless module adds a new Bluetooth access point to Phoenix Contact’s range of industrial wireless devices. The compact and rugged module reliably transfers Ethernet data over distances up to 250 m at a rate of up to 3 Mbps.

Quality features like QoS and LLDP make it compatible with Ethernet-based automation protocols such as ProfiNet and ProfiSafe, Ethernet/IP, and Modbus TCP. The device conforms to protection category IP65 and can handle up to seven Bluetooth connections in parallel. With features such as an external antenna port, an omnidirectional antenna, and low power consumption of approx. 1,1 W, the device is particularly suitable for use in battery powered systems.

The wireless module supports any Bluetooth-compliant unit with a PAN profile, for instance, the FL BT EPA module from Phoenix Contact.
