ATEQ’s F5200 leak tester

May 2013 Flow Measurement & Control

The result of five years of research, the ATEQ F5200 is the company’s most versatile leak testing machine to date. Its revolution lies in its simplicity to set up, maintain, service, upgrade and above all use. The F5200 touch screen interface lets users with very little experience in dry and non-destructive leak testing get started easily with this powerful technology.

What sets the F5200 apart?

Touch screen: the F5200’s simplicity comes in part from its touch screen functionality. ATEQ has been developing touch screens since before the days of the smartphone and its latest easy to use interface can be understood even by even beginners in the leak detection field.

Plug-and-play interface: the characteristics of the user friendly interface include the following:

* Easy to set up.

* Clear and easy to read.

* Data is quickly available.

Fully backwards compatible: ATEQ customers will not need to scrap older leak testing equipment. F5200 is compatible with I/O previous generations, so not only can existing customers swap I/Os but they can also hot swap outdated equipment without changing the test setup. One of the most important features is the ability of the leak tester to plug into existing PLCs and test benches without having to reprogram everything. In addition, the F5200 also features more modern interfacing like Ethernet and USB, so customers can be sure that it is also fully forwards compatible.

Laboratory testing also possible: leak testers are often used in quality control laboratories where a small unit with a fast and clear interface and enough memory to store all the trial parameters and tests is required.
