Schneider Electric South Africa has formed an in-house team of specialists to focus on growing the contractor segment of its business. According to Nico van der Merwe, manager of the LifeSpace business at Schneider Electric South Africa, electrical contractors are a critical part of the strategy for successful implementation of the company’s products and solutions in the marketplace. “The reason for the initiative is to ensure that Schneider Electric South Africa is aligned with expectations from both the marketplace and the contractor segment in order to complement and add value to business as well as to introduce new technologies where a need is identified.”
Nico van der Merwe
He adds that the contractors they have met have responded positively to the new initiative and look forward to working together with Schneider Electric in South Africa. “Contractors are enthusiastic to be a part of the company and are embracing the promotional activities planned for the future. With this new initiative we aim to increase our customer satisfaction levels continuously, whilst adding value for both the contractors and the end users. We are making every effort to facilitate the growth of competency in the contractor segment by continuously making new products available in the Schneider Electric portfolio.”
