High efficiency ultrasonic transducers

A.T. Technical Services has released a new family of ultrasonic probes that cover distances from 2 to 30 m and can be equipped with 1”NPT, 1.5”NPT, 2”NPT, 3”NPT or 6”NPT mountings.
The new high efficiency transducers with narrow beams and wide bandwidth have been designed to operate in difficult conditions over a wide temperature range. They are easily mounted and the new transceiver design and signal processing algorithms eliminate unwanted echoes from tank walls, standpipes and build-up. The probes self adapt to environmental conditions; the power and receiver sensitivity adjust automatically to distance and object reflectivity by keeping the same echo amplitude over the operating range.
Built in communication allows storage on a PC of the output and temperature using Microsoft Excel. The probes can be connected in a network using RS485 with ABM’s protocol and Modbus RTU. In conjunction with a PC users have full diagnostic capability ie, loss of echo, temperature sensor failure, noise error, etc. Users can also view the echo profiles and stability charts. Parameters can be changed and fix point and programmable calibrations done via serial communications.
If required a full range of sanitary connections, high temperature probes and relay alarm systems can be provided.
