Bartec has launched a new generation of rugged, reliable and safe mobile computers with advanced features for Ex areas. The powerful handheld mobile computer MC9090ex is based on the successful MC9060ex series and provides mobile employees throughout the supply chain with a flexible and uninterrupted data connection in hazardous environments. The MC9090ex is equipped with sand filling ignition protection and is rated intrinsically safe for direct application in Zone 1 Ex areas.

The MC9090ex series is equipped with the new Intel XScaleTM PXA270 processor running at 624 MHz, robust and reliable memory and several advanced data acquisition options. The integrated WLAN version allows for a realtime data exchange with the host system.

Picture acquisition, direct part marking recognition and barcode scanning can be performed in different business divisions with a single device, over distances ranging from 10 cm to 12 metres. Because of the optimised energy management, the battery working life is sufficient for a complete working shift. The modular key panels and the ¼ VGA colour display with touch-screen technology can easily be read indoors and outdoors.
