Siemens Automation and Drives is expanding the module range of its Simatic ET 200M distributed I/O system with new devices. The new 153-2 HF interface module for connecting to Profibus, and the 153-4 for connecting to Profinet enable the addition of up to 12 modules within one station. Hart modules can be plugged into the 153-2 HF version. A time stamp for the 24-channel F-DI module has also been added to the interface module. The 153-4 device has an interface with integral 2-port switch and T functionality in the power supply. The new 64-channel modules (64DI/DO) increase the channel density within the station, reducing the space requirements in the control cabinet and for header modules.
