Data Acquisition & Telemetry

Paperless recorder displays, records and transmits

September 2005 Data Acquisition & Telemetry

With the Ecograph T, Endress+Hauser believes that the price/performance ratio is creating a new segment in the market. Ecograph T is a state-of-the-art solution to multichannel displaying, recording, monitoring and communication needs.

The unit is easy to use and comes with a host of convincing features to save costs and simplify data acquisition. Even in day-to-day tasks the Ecograph T is economical - it replaces the maintenance intensive paper strip chart recorders, it requires no consumables and it saves space as a result of its short installation depth (170 mm).

Applications can be found in all branches of industry and their processes. With up to six universal inputs, the Ecograph T records a number of varied measured signals. One impulse/digital input is available for event messages, quantity recording or operating time recording. The onboard 24 V d.c. 250 mA auxiliary power supply can be used to power up the connected sensors.

Flexible display modes mean that the measured signals can be shown as multichannel digital numeric displays, in bar graph format or as curves similar to those of standard strip chart recorders. This enables the user to choose from a number of easily read measurement value modes.

The integrated alarm and set point management system enables up to 14 freely programmable set points (min/max) to be allocated to any input channel and when active can be displayed on screen and transmitted using up to four available relays. Safe and secure measurement storage is guaranteed by the internal digital memory and the lockable/sealable CompactFlash card, no data loss occurs, even on power failure.

Ethernet, RS232/485 (modem) and USB make the Ecograph T system compatible and enable network integration and remote data transmission. The integrated Web server function also means that the system is available worldwide. The ReadWin 2000 PC software package enables professional and manipulation secure data management and is delivered free-of-charge with the unit.
