The DT20 Hi distance sensor range from SICK offers devices for measurement ranges up to 1 metre, high accuracy for precise measurement tasks and reliability even with glossy object surfaces. The sensors are designed for quality inspections in the millimetre range and the detection of small parts.
The DT20 Hi is a distance sensor with a red-light laser diode in Protective Class 2. Four versions are available in IP65-protected metal housings for measurement ranges of 50–150 mm, 100–300 mm, 100–600 mm and 100–1000 mm.
Narrow beam divergence and fast response time (less than 15 ms) permits the DT20 Hi to detect small and rapidly moving objects using new CMOS technology. Resolutions of less than 1 mm at the longer measurement distances are possible, even for objects with highly reflective surfaces.
The units can be flexibly configured and easily commissioned using the built-in display and intuitive menu guidance. Connections are made via a 5-pin M12 plug. A 4–20 mA analog output is available for data, and there is a switching output – optionally NPN or PNP.
