ApplyIT celebrates 10 years
February 2010
News
ApplyIT celebrated a decade of providing world-class software to the mining and process manufacturing industries at a stylish cocktail party held in the Weaver Function Centre in November 2009.
The company decided to go back to its roots for this milestone event and chose the venue for its close proximity to the Umbogintwini industrial complex, where ApplyIT first started, and also to many of its other long standing clients.
Staff, customers, associates and friends of ApplyIT arrived to a welcoming cocktail. After the meet and greet in the bar, guests were taken through to the main event – a high impact audio-visual presentation summarising the history of ApplyIT, followed by presentations from MD Gavin Halse and product manager Scott Bredin.
The rest of the evening was informal and guests relaxed with old friends and colleagues, while enjoying cocktail snacks and drinks and being entertained by South African jazz guitarist Madala Kunene. Gavin Halse says it was an occasion to remember as both a show of gratitude to loyal customers and a tribute to the talented team at ApplyIT. “We recognise each and every team member, customer and associate as being a vital part of our story – we would not be who we are or where we are today without them.”
