Photoelectric sensors for pulp and paper applications
October 2017, Sensors & Transducers

The paper and pulp industry poses a serious problem for photoelectric sensors. The highly contaminated (dust, dirt and grime) environment and high temperatures make it difficult for the sensors to operate reliably and efficiently for any length of time. This is a problem that Telco Sensors overcomes with its powerful and high performance photoelectric products, which ensure penetration of the harshly polluted environment to guarantee reliable detection.

With attachable fibre-optic cables, the sensors can work in a temperature range up to 300°C, while withstanding the high humidity typical to the pulp and paper manufacturing industry. This has made Telco’s optical sensors a highly sought-after solution for monitoring, measuring, positioning and sheet-break detection in these demanding applications.
