Telco Sensors solve packaging problem
February 2017, Sensors & Transducers
Telco Sensors provide the packaging industry with photoelectric/infrared sensor solutions for challenging applications.
The company’s sensor solution experience and problem solving spans various fields including packaging, canning, bottling and labelling, with its portfolio of versatile sensors being used in all the above industries without breakdowns due to common causes like alignment, light and moisture. The sensors have an IP 67 rating or better.
The illustration shows a process on a conveyor belt in a dairy factory where Telco Sensor Series Spacemaster 8000 diffuse proximity sensors with an adjustable range of 0-0,5 m are mounted at different points along the line to detect milk cartons or boxes of milk cartons as they leave the production area.
The heavy water spray from the wash down in this hygienic environment does not affect the devices, which are also unaffected by bright light, water or airborne contamination, as has been proved around the world in such demanding applications.
